Museum of Brands, Packaging & Advertising
So Mandy and I ventured out the office this morning in search of inspiration… and we ended up in an advertising museum- yea a little sad. However if you massive geeks like us when it comes to anything with a little bit of nostalgia this is the place for you. Travelling through the different eras of the most beautiful design dating back to 18 something or other, we saw how brands and their advertising began and progressed. You could see a clear difference between the 50s and 60s when creative teams started to form. Before this, traditional advertising agencies saw the copywriter come up with the concept and copy, to then hand it over to the art department for the art directors to bring the idea to life. Today it’s completely different – with teams that either specializes in one role, or those that do both! Then you have the lone wolf that does it all! So if you have a love for ads, packaging or just fancy going ‘awww, I used to have that’ moments then pop along… it’s only a 5 minute walk from Notting Hill!
